Géhel (Piano), with the participation of the Chants du monde workshop and the Chanson division of the Conservatory and members of the Sensory Education Institute of Auxerre). A musical journey to neighboring countries and unknown lands: the students of the Conservatoire and the IES invite you to discover Mongolia, the Balkans, Senegal or New Zealand through a program of songs performed in the original language and in chansign (a form of deaf artistic expression where sign language and physical expression are poetically used). An ode to brotherhood between peoples and a moment of sharing between deaf and hearing audiences. In partnership with: The City of Auxerre, the Music and Dance Conservatory of Auxerre, IES and the Compagnie des Petites Mains. What is the chansign? The chansign is a form of artistic expression that consists of expressing the words of a song, signed in a poetic way using the hands and body expression. The IES of Auxerre (Institute of Sensory Education) and the Conservatory of Auxerre invite you to discover this deaf art, through this creative project supervised by two professional singers: Marie Lemot and Igor Casas from the Compagnie des Petites Mains . A dozen songs in a foreign language are played and sung by students from the Conservatory and taken up in song by adults and teenagers from the IES.
