The quality of her gaze and her attention to children are rooted in her commitment during the Second World War and her internment in the Drancy camp in 1942. After the war, she began a career as a photographer as Pierre Jahan’s assistant and continued until his death his fight against intolerance and for equality. His first personal exhibition took place in 1954 at the Maeght gallery in Paris. In 2004, the book “Terre d’enfants” published by Xavier Barral, text by Pierre Amrouche, pays tribute to his work.
