Exposition “Le monde rural, la vie à la campagne”

Text by Mrs. Mireille PAYEN: “Drawing has always been my passion and as far as I can remember I drew on my school notebooks and had very good grades and very good teachers, which I think encouraged me to continue. Painting came later. First watercolor and then acrylic. Wanting to experiment with new techniques, I started using Oil, Dry Pastel, inks… and Lost Wax Sculpture, paper, clay, etc. Constant need to explore new universes in Art and Crafts… The common thread of my work is essentially the rural world, life in the countryside. Without wanting to, it turns out that my family name Payen means Peasant in old French. Is this the reason for my particular interest in the countryside or the fact that we live better there!
