Film : Sur la route du Grand Nord

Saturday, October 19: NEUVILLE-SUR-VANNE – Screening, in the presence of director André Maurice, of the film “Québec II sur la route du Grand Nord”. The session will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Neuville sur Vanne community hall. The film lasts 1 hour 20 minutes and will be followed by a discussion with the director, Quebecer André Maurice, who is a director, photographer, actor, author-filmmaker-speaker. A graduate of the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal in 1988, he has acted in theatre and on Canadian television, and taught for a while. As a good adventurer who is not afraid of anything, André Maurice invites you on a unique expedition, throughout the seasons, in the northern regions of his province and their most unexplored confines. From Montreal, he will take you to discover the natural resources of Gaspésie, Baie-Jaune, the Magdalen Islands and then the Mingan Archipelago. You will fly over kilometers of forest in the fall until winter takes you across its snowy mountains and trails, on its frozen lakes in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and then in the wake of the trappers of yesteryear in Abitibi. At the end of this unforgettable journey, almost to the end of the land, Québec II “On the road to the Great North” will bring you back to what unites all men on earth: a deep connection with a nature as vibrant as the hearts of its inhabitants.
