Gîte de l’Armance

Christelle and Benoît will be happy to welcome you to their “Gîte de l’Armance”, located 600 m from the center of Ervy-le-Châtel, 2 hours from Paris, 35 km from Troyes and 45 km from Auxerre. This 180m² detached house is located on an enclosed plot of 2800m²: the ideal place for your family, friendly or even professional meetings! You can enjoy the peace of the countryside in a beautiful medieval village, labeled Petite Cité de Caractère, offering all the amenities on foot (bakery, supermarket, restaurants, bar, tobacco press …). Every Friday morning, you can take a walk on the local market in the town center. Regarding accommodation: on the ground floor, it consists of a large living room with open and fully equipped kitchen, a dining room that can accommodate up to 30 people, a living room with sofa, stove and television and a games corner with billiards, table football and darts. There are also a toilet and a laundry area with secondary fridge, washing machine and dryer. Upstairs, a play area for children, a sofa bed on the mezzanine for one person, 4 bedrooms sleeping 14, 2 bathrooms (including one adjoining a bedroom) and 1 separate toilet. Baby equipment is at your disposal: 2 high chairs, 2 umbrella beds, 1 bath and 1 changing table. Sheets and towels are not provided but available at a cost of € 8 per person per day. Also to be discovered, the village and its monuments: the circular Hall, unique in Europe from the 19th century, the Porte Saint-Nicolas from the 13th century, the only vestige of the 1st fortifications and the last medieval gate which remains in the Aube, the Maison du Vitrail d’Armance , the Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church,… Within a radius of 20 km, you can hike in the forests of the Pays d’Othe, visit Chaource, known for its church and its cheese, meet producers, discover the mushroom farm, the cider museum,… Without forgetting the local specialties such as cheeses (chaource, soumaintrain, Ervy), snails, cider and apple juice, andouillettes as well as champagne and Burgundy wines. Activities in the surroundings: the Nigloland amusement park (1 hour), lakes in the Orient Forest (45 min), Troyes (45 min), the vineyards of Champagne and Burgundy, the Yonne and its castles …
