Saturday, August 2: VAREILLES (89) – Jazz concert by Rémi Toulon and Philippe Chagne at 9 p.m. at the Maquis de Vareilles. To mark the 90th anniversary of its creation, pianist Rémi Toulon and saxophonist Philippe Chagne offer a personal and virtuoso reinterpretation of George Gerswhin’s masterpiece. With a long history of collaboration and over a thousand concerts, the duo surprises with the richness of its sound textures and reclaims the timeless melodies of “Porgy & Bess” with a particularly infectious joy of playing!
