Marie Fougerol – Céramiste

Having become a ceramist after a career as an artistic director in advertising, I design and produce unique pieces in stoneware, with a real attraction for decorative objects with a purpose. I mainly practice modeling and the lathe accompanies me to complete a piece. My approach is very constructed but also very instinctive, I often draw the objects before modeling them but I also like to follow my instinct and deviate from the drawing while doing. Many universes inspire me, fashion, architecture, nature… My creativity has plenty to express itself with everything around me and I have the chance to work in a magnificent workshop.
