At 9 p.m. at the Maquis de Vareilles. “When classical meets jazz”: Classically trained in her native Russia, Ekaterina Denissova-Bruggeman often turns to light music, including variety, jazz, songs, and film music. The pianist from Senon likes to merge these two musical worlds, both of which are dear to her. In her show, Ekaterina mixes works from the great repertoire that have become “classical hits,” universal jazz standards, and her own personal arrangements, where everything coexists seamlessly, to the delight of her audience.
