Created in 1966 to ensure the management of the fair of Saint Catherine, the tourist office of Estissac broadened its radius of action from the outset in the organization of festive events: large cavalcades & carnivals, themed exhibitions, flowers, Christmas decoration, various creations reminiscent of the battle of the Catalan fields, creation of a tourist stop on the banks of the Bétrot river, themed evenings, publishing of leaflets & postcards, assiduous participation in the cider festivals, organization of competitions, construction of equipment for shows, creation of the peasant memory museum, annual meetings with MARPA. In 2006, the union took on the inter-municipal stature and thus maintains relations with associations & municipalities in the cantonal territory, and takes part in events of a national nature, (a day in the countryside, heritage days, Telethon, etc), continues its cultural actions (conferences, music), organizes outings to discover the department, participates in twinning links with the Belgian Flemish community of Anzegem, opens & manages an intercommunal site, welcomes associations free of charge at the fair, acquires material (loaned to associations & communities), assists in the writing of various reviews, participating through its festive & cultural activities as well as the promotion of the territory.
