A charming residence on the banks of the Burgundy Canal. Located on the peaceful banks of the Burgundy Canal, this characterful former residence, once a coaching inn for barges, welcomes you to a setting steeped in serenity and nature. Situated in Marolles-sous-Lignières, it surprisingly belongs to the Aube department, offering a touch of geographical originality. Access to the property is via a picturesque little bridge spanning the old lock—a charming passage that hints at the change of scenery to come. Accommodating 10 to 14 people, the house boasts a superb terrace overlooking a wooded garden complete with a children’s playhouse, a swing, and a pétanque court. Here, the tranquility of the fishermen and the gentle flow of the canal invite relaxation and conviviality. If you enjoy hiking, you can also discover, just 12 minutes away, Ervy-le-Châtel — a small town of character with medieval charm — as well as, 14 minutes away, the small town of Tonnerre, famous for its Hôtel-Dieu and its mysterious Fosse Dionne, all in the heart of the Chablis route.
