From June 1st to July 31st: CHAOURCE – Exhibition by Véronique Champier. In the Tourist Office. Between pastel, symbolism, and inner quest. This artist’s world flourishes in the delicate medium of pastel, whose rich and luminous palette she appreciates. The colors, subtly blended, become the language of an inner world where dreams, nature, and spirituality converge. Her deeply symbolic works feature the rose, a central figure of love, transformation, and the sacred feminine. In “The Rose of Magdala,” she evokes Mary Magdalene and the path of inner rebirth, while the gold highlights recall the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, which elevates wounds rather than concealing them. The artist also references Tiphereth, the center of the Tree of Life in the Kabbalistic tradition, a symbol of harmony, beauty, and the union of opposites. Birds, bees, butterflies, swans, and flowers become messengers of a vibrant nature, connecting the visible to the invisible. Through the softness of pastels and the richness of their symbolism, her work invites us to contemplate a reconciling beauty, where every flaw can become a source of light. Trained at the Troyes School of Fine Arts, Véronique Champier now shares her experience and passion for pastels through the classes she teaches at the art supply store Au Point du Jour in Troyes.
