Sundays in July and August: CHAOURCE – International Organ Festival at 5 p.m. in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church. The church of Saint Jean Baptiste de Chaource houses a large number of exceptional works of art. The organ is undoubtedly one of the jewels. Built in 1696, by Louis Lebé, this instrument has undergone a scrupulous restoration which allows it to “sound” as it sounded in the 17th century. Its interest is such that it is the object of much activity. In particular, an international festival brings together organists from all over the world who come to discover his particular style! Every Sunday, at 5 p.m., a concert is given in July and August but also for Easter, Ascension and Pentecost. In addition, many visiting organists make it possible to hear this organ, classified as a historic monument, almost every day from May to September, often at the end of the afternoon… Free participation.
