Festival International d’Orgue

In July and August: CHAOURCE – International Organ Festival. The Saint Jean Baptiste de Chaource church is home to many exceptional works of art. The organ is undoubtedly one of its jewels. Built in 1696, by Louis Lebé, this instrument has undergone a scrupulous restoration which allows it to “sound” as it sounded in the 17th century. Its interest is such that it is the object of great activity. In particular, an international festival brings together organists from all over the world who come to discover his very particular style! Every Sunday, at 5 p.m., a concert is given in July and August but also for Easter, Ascension and Pentecost. In addition, many visiting organists allow you to hear this organ, listed as a historic monument, almost every day from May to September, often at the end of the afternoon… Free participation.
