Journées Européennes du Patrimoine – Aix-en-Othe

Sunday September 22: AIX-EN-OTHE – On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, come and discover the objects from the Treasure of the Notre-Dame church and the Saint-Avit Chapel from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. These centuries-old objects of worship, preserved out of sight and protected from the effects of time, will be exceptionally presented to amateurs: tapestries from the 17th and 18th centuries representing Saint Avit, the martyr of Saint Queen, and embroidered decorations; precious objects of worship, chalice, censer, relic; statues, the oldest of which dates from the 14th century. The Animations et Recherches en Pays Aixois association will revive the custom of sharing with the local or more distant public the results of historical research published over the past 40 years in various bulletins and books, so that everyone can appropriate the emblematic places that make up the richness of this land.
