Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September: AUXON – On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, discover the magnificent stained glass windows of the Auxon church during a guided tour and immerse yourself in the history of this 16th century jewel. Visits from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The church of Auxon is a village church built in the 16th century by a family of farmers, the Chevillards. Perfectly maintained over the centuries, it presents magnificent, original, and sometimes mysterious statuary. What really makes it original is its choir, decorated with superb 16th century stained glass windows. In 1870, the blast of a bomb destroyed them.
