Since 2006, the Maquis de Vareilles, Art-Broc-Café, is a country café located in Vareilles in the Yonne, a pretty village in the Pays d’Othe and Vallee de la Vanne between Sens and Aix en Othe in the building. which has always been the cafe of the village. Open on weekends, public holidays and eves of public holidays, it is a bistro, a grocery store, a bookstore, a flea market and a café-concert. The bistro offers, in addition to all common drinks, drinks from the Pays d’Othe by the glass such as apple juice, cider, ratafia, hazelnut liqueur and even the little known little whiskey of Pays d’Othe ! as well as specialties such as nOsTHalgiE (hazelnut-cider liqueur) or Panach’Othe (lemonade-cider). You can also enjoy a selection of wines from Yonne and local beers. You can also eat there at any time according to your walks in the Pays d’Othe, paninis, soups and salads, gougères, croque-campagne, plates of charcuterie or cheese, homemade desserts, ice cream, etc …. L The grocery store offers a selection of local products and Fair Trade products from the world. You can find at the bookstore a selection of news renewed monthly and a small background of art books and practices (Living Earth for example). Of course you can place orders. All the furniture (or almost) coffee is for sale and a space on the first floor is entirely dedicated to the flea market. Throughout the year, the Maquis de Vareilles offers concerts, meetings, exhibitions, regular appointments books, games, goguettes, etc …..
